Carnival of Small Business Issues - Edition 24

Published: 16 October 2007 by CA

I am "CA" Atreya (PMP, MBA), the author of this blog. I help businesses in Atlantic Canada achieve their BHAG successfully. You may subscribe to this blog using a feed reader (RSS). Note: We have moved the blog to a new domain to better reflect this blog's objectives.

Carnival of Small Business Issues Welcome to the 24th edition of the carnival of small business issues. The CoSBI returns home after a month long sojourn. During this time, we have seen the loonie (Canadian dollar) at par with the US dollar and it continues to scale new heights. I wrote a two post series about this that I will include in the carnival. Some currency experts believe that this trend will reverse in 2008, but I for one think that the loonie will continue to strengthen. My only word of advice for small businesses is to get their house in order and start looking at markets in Europe, and of course the domestic market. Depending solely on the US markets might just kill your business.

Well done! I will be really proud to host the next issue of this Carnival on my E-Biz Booster Blog. The first submissions look very promising as well. Actually the Carnival will “move to” Africa - geographically. The Canary Islands are 250 km west off the African coast in the Atlantic Ocean.

As European - politically and economically - I have to support your call for going into other currencies like British Pound or Euro.

    David; You are welcome.

John: Thanks. I thought the contact page said Spain and hence I assume it was Europe. I’ll change it and all the best hosting the CoSBI
