I recently took a chanlenging task to put together 3 small companies, yet sucessful, with 1.5 M in profit in a short period of time, and took me 6 month to audit, sort out all the purchase receipts, post all the expenses, post and reconcile payroll, cash payments, reconcile banks accounts, G/HST reconciliation, write to CRA to adjust all the RT-PR accounts. I worked for another company in recevership and I learned a lot with the CRA auditors that stay with me for 3 month, auditing 4 years of tons of papers, the story goes on.. just got another job and it is the same story? Please advice the samall business people to hire a good Bookkeeper. Thanks for your advice. It helps make the point for my industry - Virtual Assistants. We are private contractors and when you work it all out, we are cheaper than in-house employees.
