Not one post in the last 96 hours! I suppose it would be considered a crime amongst serious bloggers. It is not that I had nothing to say. Oh, I had plenty. My brain was churning thoughts at the speed of … well … thought. My fingers wouldn’t move. But I was lost in the world of music and it has taken me a while to come to my senses. By the way, what would you consider the most beautiful music you have ever heard in your life?

Would you agree that the first cry of a new-born baby is the most beautiful music in the world? Now, this may not resonate with those who have not gone through the experience. But for those of you who have been through it, perhaps you can relate to this. The range of emotions - from apprehension to anxiety, from frustration to hope, from agony to relief, to the sheer joy of hearing the cry of your new-born baby - is something I do not think I can realistically pen down. It is just beyond my literary skills to accurately capture.

Permit me to introduce Tanvi, the reason for this blog’s silence over the last four days. She was born day before yesterday - 12 days past the due date. Having been a part of the 16 hour labor ordeal, I now perceive women with a renewed sense of awe and admiration. Women, I salute you - for your strength; for your tenacity; for your ability to knowingly take on the world’s greatest challenge - the decision to give birth. I know not how to empathize with you, for I know not the pain you endure. I thank you for nurturing us and bringing us to the world.
