Google drive from Halifax NS to London UK in 29 days

I was playing with Google maps and on a whim decided to get directions from Halifax, NS, Canada to London, UK. I was wondering what result I would get. But nothing prepared me for this.
Google suggests I get to New Brunswick (Canada), Maine (US) and SWIM across the Atlantic Ocean for 5,572 kms.

Wonder why I was not instructed to jump into the ocean right in Halifax? That should save me some nautical miles.
