Doing business with India
I am "CA" Atreya (PMP, MBA), the author of this blog. I help businesses in Atlantic Canada achieve their BHAG successfully. You may subscribe to this blog using a feed reader (RSS).
I came across this article in The Chronical Herald - Lund: Let’s embrace trade with India.Stephen Lund is the President and CEO of Nova Scotia Business, Inc., Nova Scotia’s business marketing agency. He was commenting on a report that Ted Menzies, parliamentary secretary to International Trade Minister, was in New Delhi on Monday trying to set up a free-trade deal with India.
Another article - again in The Chronicle Herald - goes “New federal funding for gateways welcomed” is pushing the Atlantic Gateway concept. The idea is to develop the transportation infrastructure in Halifax which would make Nova Scotia Canada’s Atlantic entry point for commerce flowing from India and China to North America through the Suez Canal.
Now before importers and exports in Canada can jump on the trade bandwagon, they must do their due diligence. Doing business outside your home country is challenging. It is best to be prepared. Not wanting to reinvent the wheel, I will be linking to relevant articles about doing business with India.
